This is my tenth anniversary of blogging. I started back in 2008, and since then there has been 586 posts (including this one), about 1300 comments, 170 followers, 325000 visitors, and 825000 views, with a few posts well over 9000.
Well, that’s not bad, but for now, I must reconsider the time I invested, and will continue to invest in this blog. Posting once a week, even with the summer hiatuses, is becoming a strenuous pace, especially that I also have—many—other things to do. So I was tempted to just end it, and say, well, after ten years, it’s much better than your average two-post blog, let’s call it quits. But the thing is, I enjoy writing about the things I do, the math I work out, and other ideas. But I will likely stop for this month, then be back with once-a-month posting.
‘Till then, it’s summer. Let’s enjoy it.
It’s that time again. The semester’s almost over, only a few assignments and exams to mark; everybody’s busy at their own stuff. Like the last few summers, I’ll kind of close the blog until September. I said “kind of” because maybe I’ll post a few things anyway. Especially that this summer will be interesting: more time for research, 7ECM, which I will attend, and a few other things. Seeya in September!

Comes again the time where the semester comes to an end. Students are busy with finals and various assignments, professors are busy with marking finals and assignments. Soon it will be over and I will concentrate on research and publication. I have this thing I’ve been trying to finish for a few months now—still just a few days more, just a few days more—and new stuff I want to start. So I will neglect, like last year, the blog until September, where I will return with the normal, once-a-week or almost, posting schedule.
I have been absurdly busy lately and I cannot keep with the pace of posting one new post per week. Now that the semester’s over, I must take advantage of the few blessed months of summer to further my research, and the blog isn’t top priority. But, rest assured, I will be back in september to resume the once-a-week post schedule.
Until then, enjoy your summer.
