About the author

My Name is Steven Pigeon, and I am a computer scientist and a professor of computer science at the Université du Québec à Rimouski. While I do not live for computer science alone—I do enjoy other activities such as hiking and photography—it is a core theme in my existence. This blog (see the About this blog page) reflects my research interests and I use it to share the passion I have for computers, algorithms, and mathematics.

You can find my homepage here, where you can also find a list of my publications.

You can have a look at my photography here (flickr) and here (home page) for wallpapers.

You can have a look to a longer list (in French) of suggested readings.

Hey I have liked your blog a lot. I wanted to subscribe through my feed reader to it. You do not give an RSS button anywhere :)

Normally a RSS icon should appear in your URL bar in your browser. I’m sure there’s a way to get WordPress to display the actual RSS icon on the page somewhere, but I can’t find where’s the checkbox for my current theme. Apparently, it’s a per-theme thing. I’ll look into it. I’d like it to show too.

Apparently the basic theme I used didn’t allow me to show RSS icons or feed. So I added a link. You can find the rss link at the bottom of the right column, or from https://hbfs.wordpress.com/feed/

This is one of the finest blogs I’ve ever found for algorithms and computer science in general – thank you so much for sharing this stuff, I will be building implementations of some of these algorithms you have been discussing over the years.
